The Manitou Incline Was Once a Cable Car Route
The famous Manitou Incline, a popular (and brutal) 2,744-step hike with a 2,000 ft. elevation gain in less than a mile, was originally a cable car track used to haul materials up Pikes Peak — now it’s a fitness challenge for locals and tourists alike.
